On the evening of January 24, 2014 Norman Claude Hawks, departed this life at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. During his final hours, he was comforted by his family. Norman was 54 years old. Norman C. Hawks was born on November 9, 1959 to Lola Trezavant and Perry David Hawks in Fort Lee, Virginia. Norman was known by his nickname "Tigo", When he was a baby, his mother said that he was her little tiger and the nickname Tigo was established. Norman spent most of his life in Baltimore, Maryland. During his youth, he served as an altar boy at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church. This is where he excepted Christ and was confirmed as a Child of God. Norman was educated in the Catholic school system in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute as a Master Automotive Technician. Norman spent his entire career working with his father at "the shop." Norman had two beautiful girls with Faye Jackson. His oldest daughter is Chanel Norma Hawks and his youngest daughter is Ceaira Tameka Hawks. Norman shared his knowledge of cars with his with his family and friends. Whenever he worked on your car, he always explained how that function of the car operated even if you did not want to hear it. He was known to say to his nephews "make it work." This was letting them know never to allow any obstacle to stop them from reaching their goal. In June of 2013, Norman had a stroke which paralyzed him on his right side. He was able to become self reliant. To his sister's surprise he could even tie his shoes with his left hand. Norman's life partner for over 25 years was Bobby Ann Evans to which they shared many loving moments. Norman was preceded in death by his mother, Lola T. Hawks; and his brothers, Larry Trezavant, Yul Hawks, and Derrick Hawks. Norman is survived by: his daughters, Chanel Hawks and Ceaira Hawks; his grandchildren, David, Tameka, and Terrance; his father, Perry D. Hawks; his step mother, Inez Hawks; his brother, Hank Edney; his sister, Deverior Nolan; his step sisters, Mary Dixon and Renae Coleman; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
