Norman Pretlow Sr. was born on June 11, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Fannie and George Pretlow, Sr. He graduated form Carver Vocational Technical High School. He worked for Eastern Products as a crane Opertor for 30 years. He later worked for Up-To-Date laundry for several years until he took ill. He United in marriage with Millie Ann Mark on May 3, 1964. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Norman who was affectionately known as "Cello the mellow type of fellow" had a humorous personality that will not be forgotten by anyone who knew him. Cello loved basketball and singing. His favorite spiritual was "NO CHARGE" in which he sang often through out his lifetime. He leaves to mourn one son US Navy Master Cheif Norman Pretlow Jr; two daughter Dawn Pretlow and Rosalyn Davis, one daughter-in-law Candice, Gwenna, six grandchildren Leschon, Yolanda, Yvonne, Yvette, Khaliyah, and Tinnera. An ex-wife and devoted life-long friend Millie Ann Pretlow, three devoted brothers George Sr; Ernest deceased, and Garland, four devoted sisters Geraldine, Qeenester, Eunice and Elaine, three brother-in-laws Clyde, Ralph, and Joe, six sister-in-laws Emma Pretlow, Pastor Azaler Grant, Margarett deceased, Elder Lillie, Missionary Ruth, Missionary Rosa, and Geraldine, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He leaves three very special friends Larry Barnes, Larry Sewell, and Charles Lyons, Sr.
