Norman Ignatius Thomas was born on September 14, 1931 to Felix Wooten and Francis Ellen Thomas in New York City and was raised in Bushwood, Maryland, Norman graduatedfrom High School in 1952. Norman was baptized on October 11, 1931 at St. Augustine Church in the Bronx, New York. In the early 60 s, he became a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. In 1956, Norman enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving, he com- pleted his training as an Electrician. After leaving the Air Force, he joined the United States Air Force Reserve. Norman also began his career with the Federal Government at the State Department in Washington DC, in the printing department, where he retired as a supervisor September 30,1991. Normans favorite pastime was working as an usher at the DC Stadium, He also enjoyed helping others, traveling and spending time with family. He loved to eat and pick up his Sunday Dinners. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Loretta and his brothers David and Raymond. Norman leaves to cherish his memory three loving daughters; Cecelia Hall (Fred), Sherry "Von" Spady and Lydia "Tina" Thomas, two brothers; Ronnie and Jerome, two sisters; Lorraine and Gladys, grandchildren; Donya, Daryl, Jamie and Tina, great-grandchildren; Rashad, Jonathan, Tahj, Lia and Cayden, many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones andfriends Viewing Joseph H.
