was born on June 29, 1961 to the
late George C. and Lillian D. (Thompson) Yancey. He departed
this life on January 23, 2018.
N orman was introduced to God at an early age, and was a
member of Emmanuel Christian Community Church. Later in
"life he changed his denomination to Catholic and joined the
catholic churches.
He attended Baltimore Public School and after graduation
he joined the US Marine Corp and later joined the US Army.
After discharged from the Army, Norman held several job
positions as an Addictions Counselor Intern through
Baltimore, City.
After establishing a career, he married Stephanie Wilson
in 2000. From the union Norman would step up and raise
her two daughters as his own. Norman continued to work
and raise his family to a level of confidence until his health
began to fail. He enrolled in BCC and got his certification
certificate. Normans health took a tum for the worse and
he entered the VA health program.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Ceta Yancey (1980).
He leaves to mourn: his wife, Stephanie; two daughters,
Lakia and Britany Shuler; one sister, Lenora Yancey; five
grandchildren, two nephews, four great nephews, two great
nieces, one aunt Delores Thompson (Conyers GA) and a host
of cousins and friends. He will be missed by all.
