Norva Jane Hall, daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Wallace was born on January 21, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was married to the late Earl Hall Sr., who preceded her in death. Norva departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Norva received her education in the Howard County Public School System. She provided care for families for over 50 years until her retirement. Norva, known as Mama and Coota, was a firm but soft spoken person. She was the family matriarch and greatly loved and respected by all in the family as well as a multitude of friends. Norva had unwavering faith in God and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The essence of this beautiful angel was her obligation to her family, hard work, and her seriousness in helping and caring for others. In addition to her caring nature she was also a great wife, mother, grandmother, relative and homemaker. Her dinners were legendary for holidays and family events. She will be dearly missed by us all. Norva leaves to cherish her memory: four children: Virginia Clay, Earl Hall Jr. (Ann), Shirlene Hill, and Cherie Harrison; two sisters: Caroline Wallace and Audrey Lomax (Phillip); one brother: Taylor Wallace; a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by two children: Ronald Hall and Gail Watkins and four siblings: Thomas, Joseph, Delores Wallace and Dorothy Smith. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
