The life of one, Odell Sylvester Williams began very humbly on February 01,
1937 when he was born to the late and loving, Edward and Dorothy
Williams in Marley Neck, Maryland. Growing up, Odell learned about the
Lord and accepted Jesus Christ early in life. He was a member of Hall
United Methodist Church and became an honorary member of the trustee
board.
Oddie (as he was called by many) was educated in the public school
system of Anne Arundel County and made his career with the Steamship
Corporation as a longshoreman. He loved his coworkers and was a faithful
union member until he retired.
Odell loved people and socializing with his large family and many
friends. But as much as he loved them, he loved his Alma more. Together
they hosted many fish fry Fridays and welcomed everyone into their home.
When they weren't on hosting duty, Odell and Alma enjoyed bowling,
traveling and going to the casino. Odell was full of life and made the best
of every day. After a lengthy illness, Oddie was called to his eternal home
at 12:25 am on January 07,2016.
Left to miss his one of a kind laugh is his loving wife, Alma; adopted son,
Wesley; brother, Lawrence (Sharon) Williams; sisters, Doris Smith, Bessie
and Darlene Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
