Oliver Sockum, son of the late Lucretia Carter and Theophilus entered this life on July 7, 1948. On February 28,2014, Oliver quietly departed this life. Oliver was the youngest of six children; his brother, Donald, preceded him in death. At an early age, Oliver attended Hemingway Temple AME Methodist Church. He was affectionately known as Ollie to most. Ollie attended Baltimore Gty Public Schools and graduated from Frederick Douglas High School in 1966. He worked in the mechanical department at CSX Railroad for 30 years until his health forced him to retire. In 1966, he met and married the late Priscilla M. Sockum. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend. Ollie was a private and quiet man who loved music, dancing, parties, and family functions. He was especially proud of his UllLUL'UL". and grandchildren.
