Olszaks Jordan, son of Jessie Hines and Gay Bean, was born April 13, 1950 in Baltimore, MD. He departed his life on October 2, 2013, after a brief illness. Jordan, as he was affectionately known because most could not pronounce his first name, attended various elementary schools during his travels with his family and step-father's career in the armed forces. The final destination was Baltimore, where he attended Samuel Gompers General Vocation High School. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at the McKim Center, by Pastor Don. He worked a number of jobs including working at Jones Market as a meat cutter and finally retiring from ARA Janitorial Services. He was an excellent swimmer; an avid lover of music and loved to dance. Hosea, another nickname, had a humongous appetite and ate most foods. His favorite drink'was E & J VSOP brandy with Pepsi.
