IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Otis
Toney
December 9, 1962 – May 27, 2017
Otis Toney, Sr. was born on December 9, 1962, to
Sammie Lee Toney and Thaddeus Tucker in Baltimore,
Maryland. God called Otis Toney Sr. home on May 27, 2017.
Otis was educated in Baltimore Public City Schools and
graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in 1980. Otis
received his CDL license which afforded him the opportunity
to be a truck driver. Otis was also a member of the
organization, I Can't We Can". During his tenure with the
program, he was one of only few who completed the program
which was a major accomplishment. Otis had a personality
that would light up a room. He was a class clown and wanted
to joke and play around. Otis was given the nickname Big 0
by the neighborhood because he loved playing all sports
especially basketball and football. Another one of his pastime
was playing card games but on occasions he loved to dress up
and pretend to be Baby Face. He also enjoyed going out and
having a good time with his cousins at the clubs.
Otis leaves to celebrate his life three beautiful children:
Otis Toney Jr., Tracey Miller and Michaela Miller;
His mother Sammie Lee Toney-Facen and father Thaddeus Tucker;
one aunt: Ruth Forte Middletown, DE. Two sisters:
Regina Earley (Keith) and Marie Branch; one brother Earsey
Lee Toney (Delores) and preceded in death one brother
Reginald Toney. Four grandchildren: Jaleel Mcqueen, Tyiron
Toney, Oniya Toney, and Otis Toney III. A very close friend
Darlene Matthew (Taryn and Tamal Brown) and host of
nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
