Patricia Ann Alston was born on April 21, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Shirley Mister and Raymond Brady. She departed this life on December 15, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Philander Alston.

Patricia was educated in the Baltimore County school system where she graduated from Pikesville High School. After high school, Patricia got a job as a security guard. She later began working for the Baltimore City Public School system as a Head Start teacher's assistant. She kept this position until she retired. "Pat" as she was fondly called by her friends and "Buddy" as she was referred to by her grandchildren, loved being with her family, reading and solving crossword puzzles. One of her favorite past times was visiting thrift stores and the library. It was nothing to find her enjoying her favorite treats of butterscotch and Hershey kisses. Pat was an old- school music enthusiast. Her favorite group was the Temptations. Throughout the day, you could find her listening to 95.9 FM radio.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her three children: Allen, Linda and Brenda Brewer; seven grandchildren: Camay Bolding, Sabrina Brewer, Leon Johnson, Nyshia Johnson, Delicia Robertson, Egypt Walton and Dashaun Fancher; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters: Peggy Cooper (Benno) and Delores Sydor; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
