IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A.
Byrd
February 13, 1953 – November 18, 2018
God looked through the clouds & placed His mighty hands
on Patricia Ann Byrd's shoulder saying, "Daughter, you
have done well, however, your work is finished on earth. It
is time to go home." Her soul peacefully returned to God at
12:15 pm on Sunday, November 18, 2018.
Patricia Ann Byrd, daughter of the late John and Ora Silver,
was born on February 13, 1953 in Baltimore, MD. She
received her education and graduated from Baltimore City
Public Schools. At an early age she accepted Christ as her
personal savior.
Patricia had two sons, Paul Byrd and Don C. Matthews. She
was employed with Westinghouse (Northrop Grumman) for
many years before she relocated to Cleveland, OH. Pat lived
in Cleveland for over 20 years before relocating back home
to help care for her mother and wanting to be closer to
family. For over 10 years, Patricia was employed at Zentech
Manufacturing up until her illness.
Patricia went by many names (Pat, Trish, and Trish Ann).
She was very involved in a variety of activities. She loved
bowling, fishing, reading her books, working on the com-
puter, and cooking. She also loved shopping, Goodwill and
Flea Markets being her favorites.
Patricia was a warm, kind, and caring woman. She was the
type of person that was caring to a fault, thinking of others
before herself, but she was very headstrong. When she made
up her mind to do something, that's what she did. She cared
nothing of your opinion, and didn't ask. Patricia was a very
hard, diligent worker, although small in her frame, don't let
it fool you. You needed thick skin to be able to take on Pat
because she could be direct when needed. Co-workers could
count on her being early, at least a hour before her shift. She
could always make a house feel like a home. Patricia liked
to stay to herself, but always kept a few close friends.
Patricia will always be remembered in the hearts of her family
and friends. She leaves to cherish two sons, Paul Byrd and Don
C. Matthews (Susan); one brother, Willie Silver; two sisters,
Shirley Silver and Darlene Thomas; one grandson, Jordan
Byrd; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and
friends.
