Obituary

Patricia Marie Carter of Baltimore, daughter of the late Edward N. Peterson

and Virginia Bell Williams was born on February 6, 1948. She departed this

life suddenly on Tuesday July 9, 2019.

Patricia who preferred to be called Pat was educated at Carver Vocational

High School. She also attended Coppin State College where she majored in

English.

Patricia was blessed with 3 daughters Tracey Dionne', Kimberly Patrice' and

Crystal Danyai' that she loved and was very proud of. Patricia's early

employment included working at Westinghouse Electric Company and Legal

Aid. She later was employed at the Department of Labor, Licensing and

Regulation for over 20 years until her early retirement in 2003.

Patricia attended Fountain Baptist Church in Baltimore City early in life

where she gave her life to Christ. She looked forward to the Saturday church

services her senior living community held where she was a greeter and also

went to weekly bible study. She also loved going to church with her daughters

at Morning Star Baptist Church. She loved God and was in constant commu-

nion with Him.

Patricia didn't let her disability stop her from enjoying life, she loved bus

trips, crab feasts, cookouts, singing, dancing (even in her wheelchair) and

laughing. She had a great sense of humor often laughing at herself. One of her

favorite past times was shopping from ever catalog known to man, she

absolutely loved fashion and everything associated with it (shoes, jewelry,

handbags, etc). Her motto was if you love it buy it in every color available.

Patricia was self-commissioned as the one woman welcoming committee in

her senior living community. She felt it was her job to make new residence

feel at home. She was loved by the people that encountered her there with

them often remarking to her children, "your mother is so kind". She assisted

them anyway she could even with her own disability.

Patricia is survived by her step-father Henry W. Brice who raised her; 3

daughters Tracey D. Jackson, Kimberly P. Carter, and Crystal D. Carter; 3

grandchildren Traimar R. Brown who proceeded her in death, Jennifer N.

Jackson and Kendal J. Carter; One great grand-daughter Adreaun N. Brown.

First cousins, Ronald Rhodes (Annie), Ibrahima Kassama (Millicent), Wendy

L. Johnson (Dwayne) and Neal Rhodes. Her childhood best friend of 60+

years Beverly Booth and a host of other family and friends.
