Welcome to the Celebration of Life of Patricia Arlene Gaines. Patricia, also
known as Pal, Patsy, and Trlsha vas born January 11, 1952. She entered
Heaven's gates on June 28, 2019. Shewas bom to the tate John C.
Coleman and Ella Mae Moore. Pat was the youngest of 6 children, 2 of which
preceded her In death.
Pat as raised In Baitimore. Maryland nd attended Baltimore Clty public
schools. She became a mother at a young age, but too great pride In raising
her 5 children. Her children would all agree" She was nobody to play wlth-.
She raised them with a firm hand and a caring heart A loving mother and
homemaker, Pat was a remerkable rook. She enjoyed preparing meals for
her family, most especially over the hOlidays. Some Of her signature dishes
included, collard greens, corn ptlddf g, minced bar-b-cue, sweet potatoes,
chlcken-n-dl.lmplings, chocolate cake, and fried chicken. When she wasn't tn
tl1e kitchen cookig, she was out snapping. ,.
Pat took no fashion cues from no-one, She had her own sense of style.
From her W1da brfm hats to 11e blinged-.out shades. she knew how to turn
some heads. Her tall stature and poised demeanor only validated her as the
Diva she was. When she wasn't out at the mall. she was home ordertng
fashions from the Horne Shopping Network, QVC, and tons of catalogs she
subscribe to. She was always ready to make an entrance,
Pat joined Grea Southern Temple No. 30 18PO Elks of the World In JulYr
1992. In January of 1993. she joined Peace and Harmony CounCil, PDR or
meritorious services rendered to her Temple. Pal received her Past State
President s Honors through the State President's Project Department of
Tri-State Association of Maryland. Delaware, and Distrrct of Cofumrna In
June. 1994. Daughter Ga nes worked on many committees and served
wherever she could in the Temple, Council, and State, She truly exemplified
our cardinal principles of Charity, Justice, Sisterly-LOve., and Fiderty.
Daughter Patr cia Arlene Games, you Will truly be missed by, as you would
say "The Ladies of Stan dab lily",
She leaves (0 ehensh her memory 5 loving children, Tara, Tracey, Tonya,
Herb, and Jonathan, 2 daugh er-n- aws, Sharron and Dominque, 1
so -in-law Mario. 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchHdfen 3 siblings, Beve Iy
Morten, Ernestine Jackson. and Alvin Jackson. and a host of ether relatives
and many dear friends. She will forever be In our hearts.
