Patricia M
Smith
Jan 5, 1942 — Jun 9, 2026
Baltimore
Patricia Magnolia Smith was born on January 10, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the second eldest child to Alverta and William Brown (both deceased). Patricia attended Baltimore City Public Schools. In 1961, Patricia met and married Albert Smith (deceased).
Patricia held a variety of positions for employment, but she developed a love for child care, caring for the elderly and caring for the disabled until retirement. Patricia loved to play sports. As a young adult, she would be outside playing games alongside the children. Patricia loved baseball and she knew the game too! In 1979, she coached and led her Grease-Lightning Girls Baseball Team all the way to the Championship Game! Although her team did not take home the trophy, they took home a huge heap of pride and joy! Patricia’s daughter, Kim, was a player on that team. Patricia still holds the record of being the only female coach to take her team to the championship game in Whitelock’s Community Sports Club history!
Patricia loved her family very much. One of her favorite pastime was eating crabs with family and friends. She loved traveling and gatherings with her family and she was very protective of all of them. If a child was under her care, she might snatch you up in a Nano second if you got out of line but no one else better try it. She loved playing the card games spades and pinochle.
Patricia was an avid bowler. She competed in tournaments throughout the country; and in many cases, she brought home the trophy and some cash!
