Patricia Ann Reid, daughter of Thelma M. Partlow and the late William Harper was born on November 23, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland. On July 5, 2011 Patricia Reid departed this life, when God released an angel to her bedside to cover her wings. Patricia rose to a higher calling and accepted her place in God's Army. Patricia was the eldest of ten children, with five of her sibling preceding her in death. She received her education through the Baltimore City Public School System graduating from Southern High School in 1963. While living in South Baltimore, she met the love of her life James Edward Reid, III. One October 2, 1965 they were jioned in holy matrimony and experienced forty-six years of wonderful marriage. From this union, three children were born; Terry, Latonya and Tavon. Patricia worked at Mongomery Ward for over twenty years as a shipping department supervisor. She later worked at Northwest Hospital in the housekeeping department until her illness prevented her from working. She became a member of Lewin United Methodist Church in 1986 where she served as youth leader, usher board member and member of the finance committee. Patricia enjoyed shopping, talking on the telephone, counting the money in the church finance room, cooking, and providing her nices and nephews with words of wisdom. Every Sunday before her illness, she could be found in fellowship with her church family especially with the seniors. After her illness prevented her from getting around like she once did, she was a faithful patron of the Home Shopping Nethwork and QVC with several boxes being delivered to the house every week. Family and friends loved apending weekends and holidays at her house enjoying her cooking and wonderful spirit. Patricia leaves to cherish her memory; her loving an devoted husband James Reid, III; three children Terry Reid, Latonya Reid and Tavon Reid; two grandchildren, Taia and Xavier Reid; a strong and supported mother, Thelma Partlow; three sisters, Barbara Partlow, Charlotte Partlow and Debra Partlow; one brother, Ray Partlow, four sisters-in-law, Ann Jones Johnny, Christine Parker, Susie Crutch and Phyllis Crutch; four aunts, five uncles and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Three very devoted nieces, Yvette Harriston, Lakeisha Warfield and Lisa Smith. Patricia was preceded in death by her father William Harper, brothers Lawrence, Abraham Jr., Michael and Tony Partlow and sister Glenice Cornish.
