Paul M. Hanley, Jr., was born on March 2, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland
to the late Paul M. Hanley, Sr., and Ernestine Sample. Paul departed this
life on January 22,2016.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System.

After high school he was employed with the University of Maryland and
the Governor's Club. He also held various jobs, but his passion was truck
driving.

Paul was affectionately called "Sonny" by family and friends. The love
that he had for his family and friends was truly evident in his many
expressions to his wife. His dog "Polo" was his pride and joy, whom he
referred to as his grandson.

To know Sonny was to know that you were surely going to get a laugh.
He just knew how to brighten up a room. That was his way of touching
many hearts.

Paul had one son, Kendall Edmonds (Goo) and a brother, William Purnell
(Sport) that preceded him in death. Paul leaves to cherish his memories:
the love of his life for 22 years his wife, Twanna Hanley; his mother,
Ernestine Sample; step-father, George Sample; his in-laws, John and
Evalena Williams of Pocomoke, MD; three sons, Paul Hanley III (Stink),
Kenneth Edmonds (Cat) and Deonta Hanley (Tay); two daughters, Demeka
Hanley (Meka) and Brianna Hanley (Bri); one brother, Byron Hanley; two
sisters-in-law, Ruth Purnell and Markita Townsend of Pocomoke, MD;
four brothers-in-law, John, Jr., Keith and Kevin Williams and Theodore
Townsend all from Pocomoke, MD as well as two nephews, Tavon Whitty
and William Purnell (Tra); Paul (Sonny) also leaves to cherish his
