On March 20, 1950, Delores Corthom and Cleo Woodfork, were blessed with a daughter, Paula Diane Karim. Paula was born and raised in Baltimore. Paula departed from this beautiful life on July 1, 2020.
Paula attended Baltimore City Public Schools. Although, Paula worked in nursing for many years, she worked and was a devoted paraprofessional at Langston Hughes Elementary School for over 20 years.
June 1982, Paula married the loveofher life, LatifKarim.They were together for over 30 years and were best friendssince they were teenagers.
Paula enjoyed many things such as her Tyler Perry plays, movies, sewing, cooking, planting, her fish and crafting. She also loved listening to music and her favorite singer is Patti LaBelle. She loved going on Casino bus trips, watching The Wire and her favorite football team the Baltimore Ravens.
Paula was a mother, aunt and friend to many people and children in the community. Paula also watched over and helped a lotofpeople in the neighborhood. She shared her life with everyone she came in contact with and her memories, her voice, wisdom and TOUGH LOVE will live on with us forever.
Paula leaves her children: Ronnie, Kiara, Shontia and Chris; her sisters, Cheryl, Tijuana and Tracy and her brother, Bernard. She also leaves her grandchildren, Rashawnda, Rawmes, Dante and a new bundleof joy on the way and ahostofnieces, nephews, cousins, extensive family and friends.
