IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paulette
Winfield
January 28, 1968 – January 6, 2025
Paulette Winfield was born on January 28, 1968, to Merline Winfield in Baltimore, MD. She departed from this life on January 6, 2025, though her memories will remain with us for a lifetime.
Born as one half of a pair of twins and the 5th of 8 children, she was known for her lively spirit, spunk for life, and boundless love for her family.
In 1986, Paulette became a proud graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. There she enjoyed being a flag girl, playing tennis, and playing basketball. Shortly after, she briefly served in the U.S. Coast Guard, demonstrating her commitment to both education and service. In 1993, she pursued mortuary science/nursing at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC). In 1998, she returned to BCCC to pursue a degree in accounting. Paulette resumed her education in 2009 at Florida Institute of Technology and continued on a fulfilling career in the health care industry, where she dedicated over 20 years of her life.
Paulette's life was a testament to her passion for fun and family. At 4'11, she was always the center of attention and was not afraid to speak her mind. It's no secret that Paulette loved to party. Her love for life was evident in her enthusiasm for traveling, dancing, singing, eating, going to the casino, watching the Ravens games, and enjoying good times with her friends and family. She found comfort in her spiritual journey that led her to Greater Purpose Apostolic Church (Bishop J.
Mario Smith). She never missed an opportunity to live in the moment and laugh with the people that loved her.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished her family above all else. Paulette had a life-size personality but an even bigger heart for grandchildren. Her grandson Amir, she lovingly called "Moot", and her granddaughter Kara, she lovingly called "Mama", were her pride and joy. She never missed an opportunity to brag about their achievements-whether in sports, in academics, life experiences, or, of course, their undeniable looks. In her eyes, no other set of grandkids could compare to her #1 guy and her #1 girl.
As we celebrate her life, we are reminded of her message: Live life to the fullest, always advocate for yourself, and never miss a chance to express love and appreciation for those who care for you.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Merline Winfield, and her brother, Kenneth Winfield Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Derricka Brown and Lakeithia Adams; one bonus daughter, Cassandra Thomas; two grandchildren, Amir Cartwright and Kara Taylor-Adams; three sisters, Janice Spears, Trina Winfield-Murdock, and Natasha Winfield-Carter; three brothers, Wilvin Winfield, Broderick Winfield Sr., and her twin brother, Paul Winfield; three brothers-in-law, Michael Spears Sr., Charles Murdock, and Arthur Carter; three sisters-in-law, Karen Winfield, Toni Winfield, and Tonya Winfield; and a host of other loving family members and dear friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
