Obituary

Pauline Tyler was born on September 2, 1930 in Baltimore, MD
to George and Olive Tyler. She slept into eternal
rest at University of Maryland, Midtown (old Maryland
General) Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 after a brief
illness. Her mother Olive passed when she was three years
old. She attended elementary School #132, Booker T.
Washington Junior High School and Douglas High School. She
also attended night classes at Western High School and
Carver Vocational Technical High School where she trained
to be a dry cleaner. She was an excellent researcher on any-
thing she needed answers too. She loved to read her bible
along with other books. She also loved to attend services at
First Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church with her children
and grandchildren.

She was a brilliant person and very wise in making
important decisions. She was quiet and low-key until she was
comfortable in your presence. After that she would talk and
laugh for hours. She loved wrestling, singing and dancing.

Her will was not to distribute jewels, estates, treasures
and/or money. She would want us to continue her legacy of
loving and protecting each other. She would always say
''Yall stop that fussing, Yall don't need to be fussing like
that, cut it out right now" and she meant what she said. She
worked very hard as a housekeeping technician for 30 years.
She retired from Quality Inn where she worked for nineteen
years. She was a very happy and funny person. Her favorite
song was '0 Happy Day'. She also loved Jazz, R&B and
Gospel music.

During her illness she was fortunate to be cared for by her
children, grandchildren and great grand children as well as
her son-in-law Larry. She was never one who asked for any-
thing or depended on anyone for anything. She was always
giving and was a very strong lady of faith.

Our belief is that she has joined her sons Kevin and Gary,
her father, mother, sisters, brothers, cousins and other loved
ones. She was the matriarch of our family and will be dearly
missed. We were blessed to have had her for eighty-five
years. Tears will be shed but we know she is no longer
suffering. Her deepest fear was Alzheimer's and God did not
allow her to experience that before she passed. First, her
greatest love was the Lord, then her children, grandchildren,
great-grands, and other extended family. She always had open
arms for everyone who wanted to talk or needed a hug, She was
a woman of great wisdom.

Pauline was proceeded in death by her sons Gary and Kevin.
Left to mourn are her children Brenda (Larry),
James, Darlene and Dora. Grandchildren, Dawong
(Jennifer), Niambi, Ronald, Ayana, Venus, Cyndal,
Tanika, Jala, Christopher and Heather. Great grandchildren
Nairn, Evan, T'pyge, Khalil, Taj, Kaden, Ronald III Roland,
Renee and Alicia. Two great great grandchildren and one on
the way. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
