On Monday, December 21, 2015, our beloved Pearl Ruth Branch born November
26, 1929 transitioned from this earthly life to rejoice with her parents, Charlie
Jake and Malinda Starks Scott.

She received her education at McIver High School and at a very young age
she approached the mourner's bench and received salvation in the Roanoke
Chapel Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina where Reverend Timothy
Edwards is currently the Pastor.

She later met Edward Branch, Sr. after seeing a photograph and began
corresponding with him via mail while he was in the Army. They moved to
Baltimore, MD and were married on April 11, 1953 to present (62 years). From
their union three children were born: one son, Edward (Eddie) Branch, Jr. and
two daughters, Shon (Tee) Barnhart and Kaucha Odairis Branch. She was a
homemaker for many years until her children became older then she was em-
ployed as a substitute teacher and cafeteria aid at Franklin D. Roosevelt (School
#18). In addition she held several cashier positions and worked as a private duty
nurse.

As a lover of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and of people, Evangelist Pearl
was known to speak her mind if things weren't right and didn't mind telling you
if they weren't. She was a faithful member of service and a big supporter of the
United Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD where she loved to Praise and Worship
the Lord at all times.

She was lovingly known as Aunt Pearl and Mrs. Pearl who had a flair for
beautifying her surroundings as an avid gardener in her yard, decorating her
home, car or adorning herself with jewelry, fancy handbags and clothing.
Pearl was preceded by her Parents, seven brothers: Lloyd, Charles, James,
Howard, John Henry, Leroy Scott and her twin brother Earl; four sisters:
Dorothy Weaver, Edna Scott, Louise Jones (twin to Louis) and Geneva Williams;
one niece, Shirley (Peach) Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy: husband, Edward Branch, Sr., one
brother, Louis (Bishop Brick) Scott, her three children, one daughter-in-law,
Michelle Branch, two son-in-Iaws, Mike F. and Yosef Barnhart; six grandchil-
dren, Terrance (TJ), Trinya, Gabe, Marcus, Shanika and Raquel; three step-
grandchildren, Tyrae, Chris and Devonte whom she loved dearly as well as her
nieces, nephews, best friend Frances Stanton, a host of other relatives and
friends both near and far.
