Obituary

Pearlie Wallace or Pearlie Mae as some loved ones called her was born September 26, 1925 in Washington, North Carolina. She was the 7th of 9 children born to Marcellus Crawford and Susan Moore. She was educated in the North Carolina School System. Her time there was cut short of graduation because she lovingly took the responsibility of raising her brothers and sisters upon the death of her mother, Susan.

She met and married James Leroy Wallace in 1943. They moved to Baltimore in 1950 where they began their life together. During this union they had the wonderful privilege of raising two beautiful daugh- ters, Annette and Mickey.

Pearlie was an awesome cook. Her talent in the kitchen was tasted throughout the Baltimore City Daycares and Public School System. She retired from Baltimore City Public School System. She was also an awesome seamstress.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1966. Being with her spiritual brothers and sisters and telling others about Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ brought her much joy. When she was not in the ministry she enjoyed fishing with her best friend Sister Rosa Ford. She also enjoyed her very large family who loved her cooking. They would say, "Aunt Pearlie is the best cook ever!" Her love of family extended also to her grandkids friends.

Pearlie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy Wallace, her baby daughter, Annette, and her grandson Gary Warren.

She is survived by: her daughter, Carolyn "Mickey" Turnipseed; five grandchildren, Ebonie Wallace, Clinton Wallace, Keva Turnipseed, William Warren, and Tamra Warren; nine great grandchildren, Deon- trey, Corie, Cortney, Kentron, Teon, Donte, Kara, Kamal, and Karon; one great great granddaughter, Autumn; her loving sister, Ernestine Traynham, and loving baby brother, William "Bill" Crawford; and a great host of other relatives and friends.
