IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pedro T.
Pittman, Sr.
December 14, 1955 – March 25, 2019
On the evening of March 25, 2019 God called our beloved Pedro Tyrone
Pittman home to his eternal rest after a lengthy illness.
Pedro T. Pittman, the eldest son of the late Bernice Pittman Williams and
Karl Williams, was born on December 14, 1955 in Baltimore, MD. Pedro
was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. He was most
known for his loyalty to his loved ones. "Pey", as he was affectionately
called by family and friends, was a kind and generous person who would
give you his last dime if you needed it.
In 1982, he met the love of his life, Linda Laverne Wood, and gained a son
Ryan R. Wood. Their union was blessed by the birth of Pedro Tyrone
Pittman, Jr. Pedro was also the father of Tirall and Pyrella Pittman.
Pedro loved his wife completely and his children dearly. He would often
reflect on how blessed he was and he never let a day go by without
expressing his love for his family.
To demonstrate his love, Pedro was a good provider for his family. He
labored as a construction tradesmen for many years and considered working
on the Hanover Street Bridge his professional legacy. The McClean Con-
tracting Company granted him full retirement honors in February 2012.
Pedro loved to listen to oldies and watch movies. He was always buying
gadgets and boxes for his TV to make sure his pictures were crystal clear.
However his greatest joy was spending time with his "grands". He indulged
their every desire and spoiled them rotten. They loved their Pop Pop.
Pedro and Laverne enjoyed their daily trips around town, grabbing a quick
bite to eat and catching up with old friends at Lexington Market. Most of all,
Pedro loved laughing with his wife.
Pedro T. Pittman, Sr. will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pedro was preceded in death by his sisters, Althea Hursey and Edna Kyle.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Linda L.
Pittman; his children, Ryan Wood, Sr. (Tameka), Tyrone, Tirall and Pyrella;
his grandchildren, Ryan Jr., Christian, Tamryn, Tianni and Russell; his
siblings, Michelle Williams, Carolyn Hines, Darlene Dixon, Dionne Kyle,
Ingrid Conyers, Nathaniel Evans, Karl Williams, Jr., David Hursey, and
Anthony Williams; his sisters-in-law, Alverta Miller, Debbie Carroll, Ber-
tha Carroll-Prince (Elijah), and Lisa Holmes (Shelvie); a goddaughter,
Chanel Stamper and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, friends and good
buddies.
