Obituary

Peggy Lou Harris was born on March 8,1948 to the late Moses and Ollie Evans in Pitt County, North Carolina. She departed this life
suddenly on May 31,2022 in her Northeast Baltimore home.
she received her education in the Pitt County School system and later moved
to Baltimore, Maryland. There she met Lonnie Harris and was married on
December 17,1977. They had four children. She was employed at Regional
Management Inc. for over 3o years. She became a member of First Apostolic
Faith Church in 1978 and served on the missionary board and the women's
choir. She later joined St. James Apostolic Faith Church where she was filled
with the gift of the Holy Ghost.
She was called by many different names such as Ma, Granny, Aunt Peg, but
most importantly Sister Harris and answered to them all proudly. She will be
remembered for her love and faithfulness to God, her nurturing spirit, and
her cooking: We will remember her chicken and dumplings, fried chicken
with every Sunday meal, corn beef and cabbage, those four -layer cakes, and
bread puddings. Her words of wisdom, smile, and spirit will remain in our
hearts eternally.
she was preceded in death in death by her husband, two sons, and all of her
brothers and sisters except one.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Terronda Carr and Sharon
Harris; one devoted son in law, Robert Carr Ill; four grandchildren, Shannon
Pettiway, Darrick Harris, Albert Jackson, and Robert Carr TV (Autumn); five
great grandchildren, Reshawn Wyndham, Kyle Jackson, Darrick Harris Jr,
Griffyn Carr, and Grayson Carr; one sister; Gardenia Evans; one devoted
nephew who was a true son, Eugene Cox (Wanda), along with a host of nieces,
nephews, and other relatives and friends.
