On August 13, 1955, Peggy Loraine White, the loving youngest child of the late Benjamin and Lola Mac Morton, was born. She blessed this world with 64 years of light and joy before being laid to rest on May 24, 2025. Peggy was the Matriarch of her family; the was introduced to Christ at an early age, where later she would call Him YAH She loved YAH and lived for Him until her last breath. She was well loved by many known for her love for YAH, her four children, and her grandchildren.
Peggy often said that she knew one of her purposes on earth was to be a mother. Peggy's faith was a compass in her life. She brought a light to every gathering that she attended. She would always say. "I'm down" for a good party, dance, laugh, and good praise moment with her children, grandchildren, and family, showing off her beautiful daughter and smile.
Peggy was raised in East Baltimore, where she received her education in Baltimore City Public schools. She later returned to school and continued her education at Baltimore City Community College, where she obtained her GED and further corolled in college. Shortly thereafter, she graduated with honors upon receiving an Associate s Degree in Allied Human Services.
Directly after she started a job at Baltimore Healthy Start as a Neighborhood Health Advocate on the addiction team, servicing the West Baltimore neighborhood for almost 20 years. Pegsy had several jobs during her time here on carth. However, this one was her favorite, and her co workers became her family. In December of 2022, Pogey happily retired from the Marylind State Office Building.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love for her family knew no bounds. She delighted in celebrating milestones and simply spending time with her loved ones Her hilarious expressions, laughter, and warm hugs made every patering brighte. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was invaluable
