Peola Patricia Crampton, daughter of the late Robert and Mary Catherine Hill Jones, was boren on June 17, 1940 in Union Bridge, Maryland. On Tuesday, March 21, 2006 she slipped away to rest in the arms of Jesus forever at the University of Maryland Hospital. She grew up in Union Bridge ande was educated by the Westminister Public School System, attending Robert Moten High School. She was the loving and devoted wife of 46 years of Earl Crampton. To this union six children were born, to grow up in a home full of love. Peola was a very giving and loyal person and a faithful friend to all who knew her. The friends of her children and grandchildren for over four decades knew her as a surrogate mother. She opened her home to anyone in need. She loved to cook and served many people from her kitchen table. She worked as a subsitute teacher in the Baltimore City Public School System. She alson worked as a caterer. She worked at the Sweetheart Cup Company until her illness 27 years. She was a worker for the community where she served as an officer of the Community Action Neighborhood Association with Councilwomen Ruth Kirk. Peola was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church for many years under the leadership of Rev. Bennett. Peola was a very jazzy woman, and if she was not decorating a home, she was hooking up an outfit. She always had words of wisdom. Her free, fun spirit will always remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, Peola has touch the hearts of many and her memory will be cherished by: her devoted husband, Earl Crampton; four daughters, Linda Crampton, Rosalyn Stanley, Kim Crampton and Tracey Crampton; three sons, Earl Crampton, Jr., Timothy Crampton Paulaand Curtis Johnson; one sister, Mary Catherine Dowery of Union Bridge, Md.; one brother, Robert Bubby Thomas
