Phelps Clinton Dennis, Sr. (Cozy) 78, was born on March 22, 1938, in Salis-
bury, Maryland. He returned to his heavenly home on February 17,2017.
Phelps was the son of the late Elwood and Virginia Dennis Jones.

Phelps received his early education in the Wicomico County Public
Schools. He was very athletic in school, participating in basketball.

Phelps loved cooking and watching sports channels on television. Phelps
was well liked by family and friends, he had a profound effect on people
he came in contact with. "God saw that the road was getting rough and
the hills were hard to climb" God said, "Come on home Phelps, you are
resting in My bosom".

Phelps was employed for many years at "Howard Johnson Restaurant" as
a chef. Later on, he became employed at "Pebbles Restaurant" where he
was also a chef.

Phelps memories will be cherished by: one brother, Larry Dennis
(California); two granddaughters, Melita and Alisha Dennis of Baltimore,
Maryland; one great granddaughter, Brelynn Makenzie Dennis of Balti-
more, Maryland; a host of other relatives and friends who loved him
dearly. A brother-in-law, Roland L. Bivens of Salisbury, Maryland; (one
sister who preceded him in death, Wanda L. Bivens);(two sons who
preceded him in death, Phelps Dennis and Vance Dennis).
