Purnell Wilbert Young, son of the late Wilbert and Rosalee Young, born on May 29, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on September 25, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools graduating from Frederick Douglas High School in 1967. Upon completion of his educatin, he made a career of working in various hospitals. He was employed by North Charles General Hospital until he could no longer work. Purnell loved gatherings with his family and friends and would get the party started. Don't let his size fool you, he was a gently Teddy Bear. Purnell loved to have fun and made numerous friends wherever he went and will be missed by all that knew him. He leaves to mourn; two brothers, Ronald Young and Eric White; two sisters, vandessa Young and Jacqueline Smith; one uncle, Leroy Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Purnell was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Knight; three sisters, Patricia Wiley, Kathleen White and Romaine White.
