Ralph E. Jones was born to Joseph Jones and Frances Jones Gardner in Baltimore, Maryland on February 15, 1944. Both of his parents and his Stepfather, George Gardner, preceded him in death. Ralph departed his life on October 22, 2009. Ralph was affectionately known as Buddy to most. He recieved his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. Buddy graduated from Douglas High School in 1963. After graduation, Buddy worked for Baltimore City Public Works department. He was anxious to serve his country. Until his medical discharge, he enjoyed serving in the US Army. Buddy recieved Christ at an early age. He attended Saint Peter's Church in west Baltimore. He enjoyed watching football, baseball and old westerns. He excelled at basketball, crossword puzzles and drawing. He was a collector of caps and hats. He spent his free time helping others and making people laugh. Buddy was known for his stylish attire. He believed that a well dressed man wore a hat and tie. He spent years working as a maintenance supervisor for the Maryland Cup Company until his early retirement due to illness. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Cassandra Jones and Brother Nathaniel Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister Delores Alexander Jones, four sisters-in-law, Wanda, Cathy, Shelly and Valerie, four brother-in-law, Stanley, Eugene, Michael, and David, two stepdaughters, Tanya and Erin, one stepson, Howard, one nephew, Durrell Alexander, three nieces, Tamara Alexander, Donna Barksdale and Denise Smith, two first cousins, Clara Caroll and Roselee Weems, Nine great nieces and nephews, one great great niece and a host of family and friends.
