Ralph Churchill Prout, Jr., son of the late Ralph, Sr. and Doris Prout was born on October 6th, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on January 27th, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Richard and Stanley Prout. Affectionately, known as "Love-Doo" by his friends and family, he received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools and attended the University of Maryland College Park where he developed a love for sports, especially football. Ralph joined the United States Air Force and during his 4 years of service he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and he received an Honorable Discharge. He began his government career, first working at the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn. Then he moved on to work at the Smithsonian Institution at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D. C. where he remained until his retirement. As an adult Ralph studied under the practices of Jehovah Witness. In August 1998, he married the former Veronica (Angel) Johnson and out of this union a son was born, Rashad Andrew Prout and he accepted Sade' Mohammed as his daughter from Angels previous marriage. He leaves to cherish: his wife, Veronica; one son, Rashad; one daughter, Sade' Mohammed; one brother, Lowell (Dara); two aunts, Shirley Tripps (Joseph) and Emma Jane Du- Vall (Marshall); two sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, eight nephews, eight nieces, three great nephews, one great niece and a host of other relatives and friends.
