RAMON AARON SHIELDS affectionately known as "Mon", son of Vanessa M.
Brown and the late Raymond Lee Shields, was born on October 3, 1968 in
Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on March 14, 2017 after a lengthy
illness.

He matriculated in the Baltimore County Public School System and graduated
from Milford Mill High School in 1987. While growing up in Randallstown, he
loved playing baseball.

On December 8, 1991, he was blessed with his beautiful daughter, Tyshea
Zaakyah Shields.

He attended North American Trade School; and subsequently, obtained his com-
mercial driver's license to become a certified truck driver. Through his hard work
and dedication he became an independent operator as long as his health allowed.

Ramon was the life of the party wherever he went; and left an indelible impression
on everyone he encountered.

He especially enjoyed playing with his dog, "Layla."

During his lengthy illness, Ramon confirmed his personal relationship with the
Lord, and would read daily the Book of Psalms in the Bible; and constantly,
Thanked GOD for his Grace and Mercy.

Ramon leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life: his only child, Tyshea;
mother, Vanessa (Robert) Brown; sister, Montrice Yancey; brother, Kinnard
Walker; two grandmothers, Gladys E. Saunders and Charity Shields; great aunt,
Ardena S. Dixon; great uncle, Arthur F. Kirk; and godmother, Laura L. Pinkney.
He also leaves a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members,
extended family, and friends.
