Raymond Eddward Hodnett, was born in Chatham, Virginia on January 12, 1914, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hodnett. Raymond was raised by his late aunt, Missouria Parker who he adored as a mother, in Baltimore, Maryland. Raymond Edward Hodnett attended the Public Schools System. He served in the US Navy and he was also a member of the American Legion. He met Alice Spears and out of the marriage they had two children, Dianne A. Hodnett and Ronald E. Hodnett and two stepsons who he loved as his own, Wilbert and William Spears who proceeded him in death. Raymond Edward Hodnett was a loving husband to Alice who proceeded him in death. He was a wonderful father and a hardworking provider for his family. Raymond worked for the United Stated Post Office for over 30 years until he retired. Raymond will surely be missed by one and all. He leaves to cherish many, many wonderfoul memories: his daughter, Dianne Hodnett; son, Ranald Hodnett; daughters-in-law, Consuella Spears and Roslyln Hodnett; grandchildren, Lionell, Hazetta, Lisa, Quinett, Darmisha, Ronald and Royce; great grandchildren, Montaous, Quandrea, Da'Monte and Kalayia and a host of relatives and friends.
