Raymond Wood son of the late Jesse and Evelyn Wood was born
May 25, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Saturday,
January 30,2016 at Gilchrist Hospice after a lengthy illness.
Raymond was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. After
high school Raymond worked at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard for ten
years. After leaving the shipyard he worked at the Division of
Corrections in Baltimore City for twenty years.

Raymond loved life, music, tropical fish and he was a number one fan
of the Baltimore Ravens. He was well known as Ray and a straight
shooter.

Raymond was raised in the Homestead Methodist Church as a
youngster. In later years during his illness he was ministered to and he
read the Word of God. Raymond had many friends and was good
natured.

He leaves to mourn: two daughters, Raynetta Wood and Sherita Wood;
one son, Raymond Wood Jr.; one brother, Leroy Burns (Jean); six
grandchildren, Lamont Wyatt Jr., Arrionna Atkinson, Michael Bryand
III, Sanai Edwards, Samira Edwards, and Shawn Hawkins and a host of
