Rebecca Mae Fogg, was born on December 31, 1924 in Henderson, North Carolina to the late Plummer Andrew Fogg and Charity Hughes Fogg. She was the eighth child of eleven children born from this union. Rebecca departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2008. All of Rebecca's siblings preceded her in transition except one sister. Rebecca was educated in North Carolina. She left the school system to help out on the farm and to assist with the raising of her sisters. She was accused of spoiling her baby sister Betty. Rebecca met and married John McKnight in North Carolina. The family increased with the birth of their three children, Eleanor, Evelyn and George. Rebecca later moved to Baltimore with her children. She joined Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1972. She served on the Tabscott Chorus and loved attending Sunday school. She worked for many years at the Maryland Special Wine Company, until retiring in 1988. Rebecca enjoyed horseback riding and working on anything mechanical. She love her family and expressed her love and affection for her children. Rebecca leaves to cherish her memory; two daughters, Eleanor Hill, Evelyn Cooper; son, George McKnight, four grandchildren, Robert Cooper, Latonia McKnight, Latrice McKnight, Lenore Holmes; three great-grandchidren, Sammy Pearson, Trey Cooper, Lashawn Reed; sister, Betty Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Vanessa McKnight; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
