Obituary

Regina Cortaze Robinson, daughter of the late George and Virginia P. Robinson, was born on October 5, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life after battling a lengthy illness on April 7, 2013. Regina received her high school education at Edmondson Sr. High School in Baltimore, Maryland and furthered her education at Morgan State College, where she received her degree in Mathematics. Upon receiving her education, she went on to work for Johns Hopkins University as an Oncology Billing Specialist for almost twenty years receiving various awards of recognition. Regina, known fondly to everyone as "Genie" but specially known to her sisters as "Ajax" was the one everyone could count on. Regina was a loving, caring, and magnificently crafty woman. She loved sewing and this was displayed by the many pieces of clothing she made for family, friends, and of course herself. She also had a love for music, poetry, reading, and cooking. Regina was a capable and extremely committed woman to whatever she set her mind to. She could not stress enough to her only two children, Nicole and Michael, the importance of education and being independent. She loved her children with all of her heart and would give the world for her one and only grandson, Darius. Regina went on to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior later on life, now resting in the arms of The Lord. She was a devoted mother, grandma, sister, and friend and for that she will truly be missed. Regina leaves to mourn: her son Michael T. Barnes, daughter Nicole L. Hurley, son- in- law Antwoine H. Johnson; and son, Nicholas Parker, whom of which preceded her in death. One grandson, whom she loved dearly Darius A. Johnson. Three sisters: Venus A. Holly, Georgetta Thomas, and Esther L. Crum. Two brother-in-laws: Kenneth Crum and Elijah Thomas, who has preceded her in death; one baby brother Chamberlain A. Robinson, who also preceded her in death. One special cousin James Perry, known to everyone as " Jamsey Boy", nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends, and two very dear friends Doris McCain and Earnest Stokes.
