Obituary

Regina Gina House Shah, daughter of the late John and Rose House, was born on December 27, 1948. She suddenly departed this life on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Having accepted the Lord at an early age, she was baptized at United Baptist Church. Later, regina joined Wayland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang on the chior. In later years, she enjoyed membership at City Temple of Baltimore Baptist Church and finally joined Epworth Chapel United Methodist Church where she found fellowship and spiritual enrichment. Regina attended Dunbar Senior High School in Baltimore, Md. where she was a member of the National Honor Society. she continued her education at Howard University graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Sciece degree in political science. She went on to postgraduate studies at Cornell University. An avid reader with a thirst for knowledge who relished the challenges of investigating and conquering the unknown, the internet was her "sweet obsession." Regina was a people person who could always be counted on to lend a hand or help a friend. Her sond advice was sought by both friends and family. For over forty years, Regina loved Ghassan Shah who she married on august 20, 1970. from this union came the light of her life sabree House Shah. regina worked as a program manager in the Executive Office for consumer Services at MCI. Regina was preceded in death by hr brothers George House, James House and Sherman Hawkins. She leaves to mourn; her husband, Ghassan Shah; her daughter, Sabree Shah; her sister, Gloria House Catlett; her brother, John Garner House; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Y. House, Rosalind House and Harriett House; borther-in-law, John Catlett; and an aunt, Luddie Taylor. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
