Reginald David Green Sr., affectionately known as "Reggie," was born on June 3, 1950, 10 the late Richard and Annie Green in Baltimore. Maryland. He peacefully departed this life at home on June 27. 2023.
Reggie lived in Baltimore and was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools where he earned his high school diploma from Fredrick Douglas High school in 1968. He pursued higher education by obtaining an associate degree in accounting from Community College of Baltimore City; graduating summa cum laude and further pursued a bachelor's degree from Coppin State College. Reggie had an expansive career across several industries including Bethlehem Steel, Kopers, a manager at the Census Bureau, and was also a taxi driver.
In addition to Reggie's expansive career, he also had many nicknames including Peasy.
Dark Man, Poppa Reg and Nile. He also had a natural gift for numbers and a passion for accounting, which led to him once opening his own tax firm.
Reggie married the love of his life. Wanda Brown, in 1973 in Baltimore, Marrland where they recently celebrated their Golden Anniversary-50 years. Reggie was a father of three children whom he loved and cherished Gloria White, Reginald Green Jr. and Anthony
"Tony" Green.
Reggie was an avid reader, loved to play pool, pinochle, spades, and enjoyed solving puzzles. He also enjoyed listening to music. One of his favorite songs was "Yeah" by Usher. You would often find Reggie watching TV shows such as Empire, Power, and any other BET or TV-One movies. Reggie had a caring heart for the elderly: In fact, in his spare lime be would often cut their grass or prepare a delicious breakfast for those who lived in the neighborhood. He also had a love for animals. in particular his beloved cat Gucci who often ran the streets with him.
Reggie will be remembered for many sayings like "Ba-Ba, Baby," and his infamous saving
"Huckle Buck, Chuckle Luck. Talking about MF!"
Reggie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Wanda Green, one daughter Gloria White, two sons, Reginald Green Jr. (Kenya), Anthony "Tony" Green (Racheal), Grandchildren, Martez, Tyree (deceased), Steffon, Regchae, Isiah. Ryein-Danae, Noah; two great grand children Tyree Jr. and Ahri; three brothers Herman Green (deceased) Richard Greene Jr.(Monica), Darryl Green (Kimberly); two sisters Madalee Green (deceased), Gloria Green-Edwards (Clarence deceased) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives. friends and his beloved "Gywndale County."
