Reginald Lamont Vannison Sr. was the youngest son out of six children born to the late Mary Elizabeth and James A. Vannison Sr. on April 27, 1951 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Suddenly but peacefully God saw fit to call his child home on December 27, 2013. He said, "Come with me my child, I will give you Eternal Rest". Reginald received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. Later in life Reggie worked in a small deli in his community in order to make money and help people. He later pursued interest in construction work which is where he spent most of his working career. Reggie, as he was fondly called enjoyed life. He believed that all things are possible. One of his favorite sayings to his son Reggie was "if you can think it, it can happen". Reggie's sister Bea remembers that he read and collected comic books as a child especially Superman and Spiderman. He enjoyed making people laugh. He constantly joked with his sister Dot and always told her that our government system was "nothing and run by a bunch of crooks". He teased her because this was her place of employment at the time. Reggie loved the outdoors and made friends easily. One of the special people in his life was Velma McCray a devoted and caring friend. Today, each of us has been blessed to have been touched by Reggie's strong desire and care free spirit. Reggie leaves to cherish in his memories: 3 sisters, Dorothy LeSane of Arizona, Beatrice Cole of Baltimore, Jaynell Vannison of Baltimore, 1 brother James A Vannison Jr., two sons Reginald Vannison II, Reginald Vanni son III, a daughter Renae Vannison Anderson, a granddaughter Megan Anderson, nieces, nephews and close family members in Virginia, Ohio and Georgia, a special friend Claudette Wilson, close friends Ricky, Sam and Butch and a host of , other extended family and friends who loved him without ceasing.
