IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rhonda K.
Neal
April 12, 1964 – November 24, 2016
Rhonda Kim Neal was born on April 12, 1963 to the late Dorothy Neal and Robert James. She suddenly departed this life on November 24,2016. Rhonda, being the only girl out of six children learned at an early age what it meant to be a "tough cookie". She always took care of her brothers: Keith, Kurt, Bobby, Eric and Shawn. Growing up in Cherry Hill, Rhonda attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She was employed with a catering business for a while, as well as, Morgan State University for two years.
On June 14, 1991, Rhonda gave birth to her only child Ebony, forming a life long bond. Rhonda was proud of her daughter and her accomplishments and would always make it her personal business to call her every morning to make sure Ebony, and her beloved only grandson Nick would be up and ready to get their day started. Rhonda never missed a birthday or holiday and loved to give those she cared about a bouquet of balloons and a cake to celebrate their special day.
Rhonda had a love for feeding "her birds" every morning, and while running her daily errands she spoke and talked to everyone who would cross her path. She was known and loved by all of her friends and neighbors in the Cherry Hill community and will be sorely missed. Whenever there was a party or large family event, Rhonda would always show up to lend her skills and talents to the set-up and clean-up efforts, often asking for nothing in return. Rhonda dedicated her life to her passion of caretaking. She found her passion in taking care of children, braiding hair, cooking and cleaning for older people who couldn't do it themselves. Rhonda had a big heart. Ebony often referred to her as a "sour patch kid" because of her tough exterior, but soft and giving heart.
She leaves to treasure her memory: daughter Ebony Jones, grandson Dominick Scott Jr., lifelong friend Lamont Jones, five brothers and three sister-in-laws; Keith (Doreen) Martin, Kurt and Bobby (Teresa) Neal, Eric (Jennie Beysolow) and Shawn Bushrod, Godmother Sonjia Small, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a best friend Teresa Hall.
