Obituary

Rhyshon Smith was born to Sandra Montgomery and Ronald Smith on
October 24, 1990, and was called home by his heavenly Father on January 27,
2016. He was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools where in June 2008
he graduated fourth in his class at Homeland Security High School and
inducted into the National Society of High School Scholars. In addition, he
was awarded a certificate of Merit from Maryland State Board of Education
for academic achievement, plus the Mathematics and Fire Fighter Excellence
Award. Needless to say he was smart, but it's a little known fact that he was
classified officially as a genius at the age of fourteen. Rhyshon was nationally
recruited by many colleges even Princeton and Harvard University offered
him full scholarships because of his 1520 SAT score - 80 points shy of
perfection. However, he was drawn to Bowie State University's Computer
Science and Technology program. While matriculating, he was inducted into
the National Society of Leadership and Success Sigma Alpha Pi. He joined
the Cyber Defense Team and became the lead programmer and still made the
Dean's List. In 2013, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
and Technology and a minor degree in French which he wrote and spoke
fluently.

Rhyshon was affectionately known as Muppie by his Mother's side; as Fats
by his Father's side and as Durty by his friends. He loved animals (mainly
dogs) and music. In his younger days he played a little football but his true
passion was for computers. During college, he became a Teaching Assistant
where he taught middle/high school students to build/program robots, create
androids and Microsoft Apps. He even mentored students by teaching
etiquette and time management skills. In 2012, he worked for a year as a
Research Assistant where he tested the effectiveness and quality of new
programs and data bases. During the last few years, he became an
entrepreneur as a Bail Bondsman and the manager/promoter for the rap group
GMG. It was his vision to develop them into a brand that would earn local
and national notoriety. Rhyshon was a charismatic young man very protective
of his family, but above all else, he was a dedicated loving son to his Mother
Sandy and loving father to his daughter Ryan.

Rhyshon is now reunited with his brother Dontae, grandmother Mallie
Montgomery, grandfather Anderson Crenshaw and uncle Anthony Redd but
he leaves to cherish his memory: his Mother, Sandra Montgomery; Father
Ronald Smith, his siblings Ronald Jr., Rontae and Shenica Smith, Victor
McLeod; grandmothers Gloria Kennedy, Ida Brown, and Carliece Wallace,
his daughter, the love of his life, Rhyan Smith; Favorite Uncle, Vasquez
Goode (Wink) and uncles Laverne Patterson, Leslie Smith, Paul Wallace and
Carl Johnson; Best friends Anton and Carlos; Special Friend, Jasmine; and a
host of other family and friends. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home Thursday, February 11, 2016 03:00 PM - 08:00 PM Email Details 2140 N. Fulton Ave
