Richard Lewis Scriber, the third of six children born to the late Francis W. and Mamie Scriber. He was born September 12, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland and departed this life on November 26, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Richard, fondly known to friends and family as ''Dickey'', attended the Baltimore City Public School System. He was employed with Baltimore City Sanitation Department for more than 30 years and retired in 2001. Dickey was a fun loving person and always enjoyed partying with his friends and family. Dickey is preceded in death by his parents, Francis W. and Mamie Scriber, brother Jerome Scriber, niece Katina and brother-in-law Edward Carter. He leaves to cherish fond memories; his adopted son, Robert Scriber; his sister, Elizabeth Carter; three brothers, Francis Jr., Reginald and Westley Scriber; one sister-in-law, Lorraine M. Scriber; four nieces, Angela, Nicole, Jerri, and Alethea; two nephews, Barry & wife Danielle, Jeffrey & wife Tonya and a host of great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends. One close and special friend, Lillian Spencer. Also his neighbor Ms. Gussie, who was his caregiver during his illness.
