Robert Melvin Brown, son of the late Vernon Brown and Mary Brown was born on Mother's Day, May 12, 1935. He was the first of five children. He received his education from Baltimore City Public School System. He then entered the Air Force. In 1957, he married Alice Chambers. From this union 2 children were born, Robert M. Brown Jr. who preceded him in death and Chet M. Brown. He worked for Rogers Printing Box Company, before goining to work for the CSX Railroad. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Alice J. Brown; son, Chet M. Brown; 3 grandsons, Chet M. Brown II, Robert Melvin Brown who preceded him in death and William Robert Brown; 2 brothers, James Brown and Vernon Brown Jr; 6 sisters Carolyn Brown who preceded him in death, Charlotte Skinner, Janet Brown-Simmons, Jean-Alice, Beatrice and Sharon; 5 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law; Aunt Helen Simon, Uncle George Brown, Jacque Robinson; and a host of relatives and friends,
