On July 13, 2014, the Lord called home His servant, ROBERT "CHUCK" EUBANKS, JR. after a prolonged illness that included Alzheimer's disease and Leukemia. He was loved and respected by many for his kindness, generosity and friendship. Chuck was born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended the Baltimore City Public School System until he had to drop out to help support his family. He was employed by the Maryland Jockey Club as a Pari-mutuels Clerk and Office Supervisor for over thirty years. He retired from the Maryland Jockey Club in 2008. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing billiards and walking. In July 1965, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Gloria Louise (Payne). He accepted and raised her son, Garland, as his own. Their union was also blessed with the birth of Sheldon. Chuck was a Past Potentate in the Jerusalem Temple of the Shriners as well as a 33rd Degree Mason. In both organizations, he found joy in serving others in the community and building fraternal bonds. Gloria preceded Robert in death in 2006. His parents Robert, Sr. and Florence Justice Eubanks, as well as his brother, Hagen also preceded him in going to Glory. He is survived by: two sisters-in-law, Barbara Payne and Joanne Crosby; sons, Robert (Srd), Sheldon, Tony and three other children; stepson, Garland Payne; and daughters-in-law, Mary and Ieshia Eubanks and Diane Payne; eighteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
