Robert Reese Harvey, also known as Harvey, Hotpants, Crabby, Husband, Daddy, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Uncle and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Robert was totally at peace and ready for his next adventure. Robert was born Saturday July 2, 1938 and was 82 years young. He lived every day to its fullest. Robert loved to make people laugh and smile, it was very easy for him to accomplish this.
Robert married Grace Kenney in 2012 after being together for about 15 years. They loved to travel to visit friends and family, playing bingo and play cards. Robert never turned down playing a good competitive card game, whether it was Spades, 500 or Pinochle. He loved playing cards and Pinochle was his passion. Robert loved a good meal but his favorite of all times was Hot Dogs and Pork n Beans and Tootsie Rolls. He would often enjoy Hot Dogs and Beans while watching old western tv shows which were also amongst his favorites.
Robert loved his country and did not hesitate to enlist in the United States Army when he turned 18. He served his country proudly while fighting in the Vietnam War. When his tour in the military was over he worked as a Truck Driver and later as a Caterer. Throughout the years, Robert continued to give back to the community through his numerous donations to multiple charitable and community organizations. He was also very proud of this and he kept and cherished all of the Thank You Certificates that they sent him no matter how large or small. In October 1988 he again rose to the challenge and received his High School Diploma.
