Obituary

Robert Phillip Holloway, son of the late William and Ada Holloway was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 10, 1936. He deaprted this life peacefully on Thursday, September 30, 2010. Robert attended the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Frederick Douglas High School in 1953. He than enlisted in the United States Department of the Navy. In 1957, he became employed with Hemingway Trucking company as a truck driver and also has held other truck driving jobs. Robert worked for Fitch Co., Inc. until his retirement in 1998. After a brief time he decided to take on part-time employment with the Mrylnd State Race Track, and worked until he was unable to work. At an early age Robert attended Payne Memorial A.M.E. Church with his family. In 1989, he left his family church and joined the Christian Community Church of God under the spritual leadership of the late Bishop Conway Green. Immediately he jioned the Usher's Ministry where he worked faithfully. On tghe first Sunday in December of 2009, he recommitted his life to Christ, serving delinquently until he was unable to serve because of illness. He met and married the former Frieda robertson on June 15, 1985, and they enjoyed many good times togather. Robert was a man who loved to hunt and fish, which he looked forward in during it's seasons. He would travel to Calvert county to jion his elder brother and cousins to hunt and fish. He enjoyed sports, especially watching footbll and baseball games. You could always find him in front of the TV watching old movies. Robert leaves to cherish hismemory; his faithful wife, Frieda Hollowy; three brothers Roy Holloway, Elmer Hollway and James Holloway; adopted sister, Mildred Holloway; eight sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Holloway, Debra Holloway, Joyce Hollowy, Mary Ward, Juanita Robertson, Eva Robertson, Johnola Graham and Mildred Robertson; five brothers-in-law, Goodman Ward, Charles Robertson, Delbert Robertson, Roosevelt Toomer and Ben Graham; goddaughter, Sherrita Ward; a devoted cousin, Ruby Vaugh of Largo, Maryland; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He will be missed by many
