Robert Lewis Ledbetter, son of the late Jack Roy and
Christine Ledbetter, was born on December 7, 1948 in
Wadesboro, North Carolina. He departed

this life on July 23,2018 after a lengthy illness.

He was educated in the Baltimore City Public
School System.

He arrived in Baltimore City at the age of four. He later
furthered his education by attending Douglas
Senior High School.

Robert worked various labor positions, first at
Bethlehem Steel but ultimately retired from u.s.

Gypsum after twenty-five years.

Robert was united in Holy Matrimony to his soul
mate Priscilla. They were

together for 45 years. He was preceded in
death by 3 sisters, Emma Singletary,

Ruby Spencer and Evelyn Rich and nephew
Kenon Nipper.

He leaves to celebrate his life: wife, Priscilla;
two daughters, Katrina Melton (Randy) and
Keisha Spriggs (Terrence) one son Robert
Ledbetter II (Kenyona);

twelve grandchildren,
Davon,Tyree, DaQuan, Amber, Tyana,
Monia, Kierra, Joi,

Jasmine, Darius, Justin and Terrence Jr (TJ); one
sister, Genet Kellman (Vincent);

one brother, Jesse Ledbetter and two brother in
laws Anthony Nipper and Michael
Beverly (Jervetta), and one sister-in-law,
Sharron Nipper. He had many nieces,
nephews, aunts and friends. He had a
special bond with friends: Richard, Floyd,
Marvin, Joe and Delano. God also
blessed him with bonus children in Ariane,
Sarita, Shemeka, Mark, Raymond and

god daughter Nimeta as well as a great
grandbaby Dyani.
