Robert M. Jackson born March 21, 1951 in Baltimore, Mary land to the late
Viola Hairston and Herbert Jackson. Rob as he was affectionately called,
suddenly departed this life on March 10,2016.
He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and he
furthered his education at Community College.
Rob was employed by the state of Maryland unemployment division in
1971. He continued to work for the state of Maryland as a youth counselor
at the Cylbum center and Druid Hill youth center. Later in life he was also
employed by Maryland Cabinet makers. His finally employment gave him
great pleasure as he worked side by side with his only son Karriem, as a
landscaper.
Robert was not only a father to his children but he was also known as
the neighborhood dad. He loved to spend time with his family and would
support his children in everything they did. Rob could cook and loved to
cook. He was a very hilarious person and loved to joke around. He was a
compassionate person that would help anyone. Rob was also the president
of Residential Council at Monte Verde where he resided.
Robert married his childhood sweet heart the late Janice A. Jackson out
of this union was born 2 children.
Robert is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Tindall (Andre), Angela
Jackson, LaKeesha Jackson-Lee (Edward); son Karriem Jackson (Dawn)
and daughter Tamara Scott (who processed him in death); sisters, Gwendolyn,
dolyn Wright, Keiva Jackson, and Patricia Greene (proceeded him in
death); brothers, Yates "Butchie" Jackson (Patricia), Collis Jackson, and
Darryl Jackson; 17 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren. Host of nieces,
nephews and other relatives. His walking partner and close friend Sam. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
