Robert Lee Player, son of the late John Robert Evans and Jennie Mae Player, was born March 9, 1951 in Turbeville, South Carolina. He departed this life on May 24, 2006 after a lengthy illness. He completed his education at Walker Gamble Senior High School. Before his sudden illness he was emoployed at Hudson General Bus Company at BWI Airport. Robert loved his family and friends. He was the father of three children Robert Player Jr., India Flemmings and Edward Mickens. When he met and married Betty, he cared for and loved her daughter as his own. Robert really loved listening to ''down home blues'' music, hunting, fishing, repairing cars and watching football and car racing all day on Sundays. Robert will greatly missed by his wife, Bettyand his entire family and friernds. With the help of others and lovingly and tiredlessly for Robert during these past years of his illness. Robert loved his wife Betty dearly and called her ''Babydoll''. He leaves to cherished his memory: his devoted wife, Betty ; two sons, Robert Player Jr. and Eddward Mickens; daughter, India Flemmings; stepdaughter, Terrell Humphries; brother, Johnny Lee Brand; four sisters, Doris Bennett, Edwina Player, Martha Ann Quickly, Katherine McFadden; grandmother, Henrietta Evans; eight grandchildren; and a godson, Kennard Rhodes and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and others.
