Robert Lee Shilkins, son of Leanna Skilkins, was born on July 24, 1948 in Adams county, Natchez, Mississippi. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Robert received his education at Dunbar High School where he was the absolute best at his sport of basketball. He furthered his education by attending Norfolk State University where he as an all-star. The love of his life was pregnant, so he returned to Baltimore, Md. to marry Deborah Ann Johnson on October 14, 1967. Soon after, he was employed at BG&E for several years util later being employed at Montrose Institute for Children. He remained there for several years until he became disabled and remained at home with his family. Robert was married to the love of his life, Deborah Ann Johnson. Out of this union were born two girls, Jacqueline Annette Shilkins and Tonya Denise Shilkins. Robert made more than his share of friends along the way and will be missed by everyone that knew him. He was always a true friend. Most of all, family came first. He leaves to mourn; his wife, Deborah Ann Shilkins; oldest daughter, Jacqueline A. Ennels Milton; youngest daughter, Tonya D. Shilkins Wilbert; his mother Leanna shilkins; grandchildren, Dondre Ennels, Kevin Sykes, Kashay Sykes, Kashiria Sykes; and one foster child, Sharif Norhtington; sisters-in-law, Peggy Thomas and Vickie Jennings; brothers-in-law, Edward Winston Kelvonne, Andre Winston Gwendolyn and Tobias Winston; along with a host of other family members and friends.
