Robert Bruce Thompkins son of the late Lillian Thompkins and John Ravenelle
was born March 25, 1965 in New York City. He departed this life on May
18,2016 after a lengthy illness .

He received his education in the Baltimore Public School System . Robert
unfortunately didn't complete high school , but still excelled in carpentry,
he was very good with his hands.

During the years Robert tried many times to start his own home improvement
business. It finally happened for him in 1999. In 1999 Imani Builders
was born, a business named after his daughter and this business flourished
for 6 years, until 2004 when he was diagnosed with cancer. Robert soon
had to shut down his baby "Imani Builders". During Robert's home
improvement days he made many friends and associates, he gave people a
fair chance , and didn't prejudge others that had been judged by others.

Robert married twice and with his 1st union was born one daughter, Imani
his reason for living. After his 1st marriage ended , Robert remarried his
current wife, Aquilla. Although they never had kids together , they would
not hesitate to step in to help in the raising of family that needed them.
Robert and Aquilla had a very long, loving marriage of 16 years.

Robert leaves to mourn: wife, Aquilla; one brother, Darryl; one sister,
Leslie; daughter, Imani and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great
nephews, and other relatives and friends.
