Obituary

Robert Walker Jr., son of the late Robert Walker Sr. and Doris Roundtree was born on September 4, 1949 at City Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Robert received his formal education at the Baltimore Academy.fiow known as the Baltimore Junior Academy. His training and education developed his skills needed to be a successful longshoreman. For 35 years he worked long hours to support his family; only taking breaks to recognize the Sabbath and give praises to the Lord. In 2011 Robert's retirement allowed him to dedicate more time to his family and church. He regularly attended and enjoyed fellowship at the Brooklyn Seventh Day Adventist Church. For many years he served as a faithful Deacon, Elder and Sabbath School Teacher at New Beginnings Seventh Day Adventist Church formally Cherry Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church. The church was always sparkling clean because of his maintenance and oversight. Robert's Ministry extended beyond the church. For over 15 years he shared his passion for the Lord, while preaching about the power of God's love through prison ministries. As as child you could always find Robert doing odd jobs and playing sports especially baseball. He and his brother Melvin often played and worked togeth- er. As the years passed Robert recreation became more passive and included watching movies and just relaxing on his deck. In 1972, Robert's life was given more joy when the Lord blessed him with his daughter, Angel. Angel truly loved and adored her father, they had a bond like no other. On November 19, 1989 Robert married Sandra this completed his family and shared the love of the Lord and his blessings for over 36 years. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Walker; sister, Margaret Trayham; brother, Melvin Walker and grandson, Steven Richard Lievens IV. He leaves to mourn: his devoted wife, Sandra; three daughters, Angel Tennes- see, Tesha and Reiko Myles; one son, Karod Randolph; two sisters, Joyce Hargrove and Grace Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
